Do I have to pay anything up front?
We require a 50% down payment upon acceptance of your contract so we can plan for the human and material resources necessary to deliver a great project experience.
When can I use my new driveway?
Typically, you can walk on your driveway after only 1 day, and drive on it within 5 days.
How long will my project take?
Project timeframes vary by size. A small driveway replacement (less than 1,000 SF), will be demo’d and poured back in 1 day, with 1 day to punch-out (remove forms, clean up, etc.). Most jobs will take 2 days plus a day to punch-out.
How do I care for my new driveway?
Your new Hemma driveway is pretty tough! It will age and weather much like your old driveway did which didn’t require much work. Pressure washing every 3-4 years will help give it that new look which is recommended. Please do not spread rock salts on the surface as this can cause spalling and/or cracking. New driveways may get “seasoned” by typical things (tires, leaves, etc.), but this is just part of normal and expected use.
How long will a Hemma driveway last?
Since we have never had a driveway wear out or fail, we don’t really know! Hemma driveways are built to last.
When is the best time to install a driveway in metro Atlanta?
Anytime is a great time to install your project. Hemma’s team of pros stay close in touch with local weather forecasts and plan the work accordingly. Obviously rain and extreme temperatures (cold and hot) can affect the job, but our team has a great track record for project installations.
What precautions does Hemma take to avoid underground issues?
Before every job begins, we will contact your utility suppliers to mark all underground utilities. For sprinkler systems, we ask that the homeowners provide us with guidance as to where their systems are located. In most cases, issues with underground items are not a problem.

What about permits and fees?
Given the sheer number of jobs we have installed, our staff is as close to an expert with permits and fees as you will find. We can handle all aspects of the permitting process, and only pass those costs through to the homeowner.
